Choir 1

Choir 1 is a group singing course designed to help students build confidence using their voice in harmony with others. Choir allows students to join their own voice with a larger group instrument, creating a shared sound that is stronger, richer, and more resonant than any one voice alone.
This course is welcoming to students who are new to choir as well as singers who want a steady weekly practice. Students will work on listening, blending, pitch, rhythm, vocal confidence, and ensemble awareness in a supportive group environment.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Build confidence singing with others
- Practice pitch, rhythm, blend, and listening
- Learn how individual voices support a group sound
- Develop a shared repertoire
- Strengthen vocal awareness through guided ensemble practice

Meet
Alice
Alice is a voice teacher who leads with somatic awareness and experiential learning, helping students better understand and articulate their lived experience of singing so they can make informed, empowered artistic choices. With a foundation in classical training and a deep passion for extended and exploratory vocal techniques, she supports students in stretching their instrument while prioritizing vocal health and a positive relationship with their voice. Alice’s lessons center each singer’s unique impulses and artistry, guiding students to break patterns, discover new pathways, and develop a voice practice that feels authentic, expressive, and sustainable. Alice works with students ages 9+
