Voice Lessons with Alice
Alice is a voice teacher who leads with somatic awareness and experiential learning, helping students better understand and articulate their lived experience of singing so they can make informed, empowered artistic choices. With a foundation in classical training and a deep passion for extended and exploratory vocal techniques, she supports students in stretching their instrument while prioritizing vocal health and a positive relationship with their voice. Alice’s lessons center each singer’s unique impulses and artistry, guiding students to break patterns, discover new pathways, and develop a voice practice that feels authentic, expressive, and sustainable.

What do you teach?
Voice ~ leading with somatic awareness and experiential learning. We work to describe our reiterate our experiences of singing, in order to make informed choices based on our particular body, and in service of our particular artistry.
What makes you want to share your skills and knowledge?
In honor of my own teachers, I’m here to continue the lineage of all I’ve learned.
What is your experience in your craft and how are you evolving?
I studied classical voice when I was young, but was sliding down more experimental and experiential paths, much to the frustration of my classical teachers. When I finally found a coach who would support me in my extended techniques, and allow for my exploration, everything lifted and I was able to dig into my original love for singing once again. I am always playing, always stretching my instrument, always seeking new ways to surprise myself, and always prioritizing the health of my voice and of my relationship with it.
What is your style of teaching?
We all have different reasons for study, especially when it comes to the study of our own body, which is a large part of studying voice. I want to discover your impulse toward singing, where does it come from, how does it serve you, and what can we do to follow it faithfully.
What keeps you creatively inspired?
Surrounding myself with artists I admire, soaking in their practices, passing around inspiration like sharing a hot meal.
