Experimental Drawing I

Experimental Drawing I is an all-levels drawing course designed to expand and deepen each student's drawing practice. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is required. This course invites students to approach drawing through observation, process, curiosity, and experimentation. Students will build confidence with mark-making, line, form, composition, and visual decision-making while learning that drawing can be both a technical skill and a flexible creative practice.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Build confidence with drawing materials and prompts
- Practice observation, line, mark-making, and composition
- Explore drawing as a process of discovery
- Experiment with different approaches to image-making
- Develop a more personal and open-ended drawing practice
